When I practice mindfulness with my clients, we concentrate on the present moment and surrounding environment rather than rehearsing the past or imagining the future.​

Mindfulness also involves acceptance, meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them—without believing, for instance, that there’s a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel in a given moment. I have found over the years that by adopting this mindful manner and by practicing meditation for as little as 5 minutes a day helps greatly.
